Pamela is the Chief Human Resources Officer at the City of Ottawa. Pam is a Certified Human Resources Leader with over 30 years of experience leading multi-disciplinary HR departments in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors. Her work has focused on leadership development, succession planning, talent management, compensation, equity, diversity & inclusion, employee wellness, occupational health and safety, and labour relations in multi-union environments. In her former role as the General Manager of People, Culture and Leadership at the Ottawa-Carleton School Board, Pamela led a large team supporting over 15,000 employees across 150 schools and central departments. Her strategic leadership and commitment to fostering a healthy, engaging workplace culture resulted in significant improvements in employee engagement and organizational effectiveness. Pamela’s dedication to equity, diversity, and inclusion is evident in her track record of championing initiatives to remove barriers, promote safe spaces, and advance human rights within the workplace. She has a passion for innovation, collaboration, and excellence in communication to drive forward HR initiatives and support the growth and development of employees.
