After initially pursuing classical civilizations and archaeology, she traded her dig sites and shovels for a burgeoning career in human resources. When Steph started at Iversoft, the company had fewer than ten employees, and its sights were set on upcoming growth and expansion in Ottawa. Six years later, Steph manages the HR & Operations team at Iversoft, having overseen the company’s growth to over 50 employees. During that time, she also helped navigate three acquisitions, a global pandemic, the shift to a fully remote nationwide workforce, and the transition to becoming one of Ontario’s first companies to adopt a 4-day compressed work week.
Steph was recognized as a 2021 CHRR Young Influencer in HR. The work environment Steph created at Iversoft has won back-to-back employer excellence awards in 2021 and 2022 from Hire Immigrants Ottawa. She is an active advisor to several portfolio companies and organizations across Canada. At every opportunity, Steph advocates for mental health support in the workplace, equitable hiring practices, and progressive HR policy through her national speaking engagements.
