Debbie, a graduate of Computer Science from Carleton University, is a lifelong learner, coach, mentor, and advocate for women in the tech industry. Debbie has her Certified Professional Co-Active Coaching certification and actively participates as a mentor in her company's mentoring program. She coaches individuals both inside and outside of the workplace and loves seeing people step out of their comfort zone and be the best that they can be. Debbie recognizes the challenges of attracting and engaging female leaders in the tech industry and has acted as an ERG leader and advocate for women in her current and past companies. Why is a computer science graduate leading a Learning and Development organization in an HR function? After spending years working in various business functions like R&D, Services, and IT, Debbie stepped out of her comfort zone and followed her lifelong passion for learning and growing others and took the leap into HR.
