As the Vice President, People, Culture and Strategy, Cindy is responsible for providing leadership in the development of strategies, processes and tools that drive organizational performance and fully optimizes OCH's talent and employee experience through fostering an engaged workforce, supporting the achievement of business objectives, and aligning with OCH’s desired culture. In this role, as a member of the executive management team, Cindy is a strategic business partner providing expert advice and leadership on the delivery of integrated and innovative HR programs, services, corporate strategy and performance, crisis interventions and solutions for the organization.
Cindy leads the Human Resources team in the delivery of all HR functions, including organizational development, talent acquisition and talent management, total compensation, employee and labour relations, health, safety and wellness, labour relations, and HR policy and program development, as well as the Strategy and Corporate Performance team in the delivery of strategic planning, performance measurement, and planning and reporting activities that improve organizational effectiveness and the achievement of the organization’s strategic objectives.
A passionate leader, Cindy has over 20 years of experience leading the development and implementation of innovative programs and services in support of key business challenges in a variety of industries including retail, telecommunications, the electricity sector and social housing.
Demonstrating her commitment to providing mentorship to aspiring HR Professionals, Cindy teaches with Carleton University’s Sprott School of Business in the Human Resources Management Program and is an active Human Resources Professional Association (HRPA) member and Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL).
